I am looking at a 74 CSA to purchase and would appreciate any assistance on the obvious (and not so obvious) places to look for rust on the vehicle.

1) Shock Towers (front and rear)
2) Open glove box and compartment which house fuse box, look @ condition of metal. Windows were prone to leaks and caused rust in this spot.
3) Look around rear light lenses, water deposited here w/o means of drainage.
4) Lower door sills and anywhere water drained through a drainage medium. (Sunroof)
5) Remove spare and look and wheel well where spare sits. Remove panel where gas tank resides, as well)
6) Carefully inspect underside of vehicle, preferable on a lift.
