Also, if the owner is an accomodating type, ask him if you can remove the rocker panel covers. They come off easily with phillips head screws. If the car is as rust-free as he may claim, he should have no objection to this. Or have a mechanic do it while he's checking out the whole car. Failure to do so may cost much money down the road...
