I am having a problem issolating a erratic temperature gauge
everything is ok with the temp untill I turn on the lights/fan or even the radio and then it goes to the red zone! the engine is NOT overheating.
I changed the temperature sender twice with others from bavarias/530s etc no difference! I even changed the gauge with one from a 2002 (its the same.
Everything is working great untill I turn something on.
However if I switch the engine off and return the key to the start position (not cranking position) the gauge is normal, then when I crank the engine and run it goes to the red again. Driving at night on a freeway and cold outside it still reads red.
I even changed the wire from the sender to the gauge(brown/white) the problem still persists
HELP Ian
