hey, thanks for all the suggestions, I'm going to check everything out as soon as I can. Do you mean the gas cap seal as in from the cap to the tank? I'm going to take apart the trunk bottom this weekend and look at the gas tank again in general. Thanks!

from your tank to the engine. Also check if any leak from carburetors gaskets, plus check your gas tank by the supports where it will crack.

Hi guys I had a similar problem also!
It turned out to be a worn gas cap seal
