Thanks for your replies. The battery is actually being run down as a result of driving the car. I think I'll take it to an expert as the car is due for a service in a month or so. Am I damaging the battery by repeatedly running it down and then charging it? I know I'm mechanically ignorant, I've had numerous old BMW's including a couple of 2002's, but I've never touched a wrench. I love the cars, but the only thing i've ever adjusted is the mirrors. I've just moved to Melbourne from Sydney, Australia (great 10 hour drive, 1 McDonalds stop) and I've heard "Autologic" are good mechanics for coupes. Anyone had any experience here.
