No help on the paint job, but as for the CD-stereo, I may have a few hints.
1) Install deck with remote control in the glove box. Mount deck on plywood or in a small stereo box. Leave loose, it does not move around, or inset into foam.
2)Rear speakers can be put on speaker boxes on the back shelf, held down with velcro.
3)Thin front speakers can be mounted in custom made panels that replace the existing panels that are in front of the doors. (KEEP original panels). Front dash speaker mounted in same place.
4)amp, if desired, can be mounted in the trunk on cloth covered plywood that fits exactly between the wheel wells.
5) DO NOT allow installer to drill any holes to mount ANYTHING, or for wiring.
The only problem with this is that the glove box must remain open to operate the remote control while driving.
I purchased a 72 CS, very little rust, color ceylon. I am looking for a paintshop that repaints the original color and will do a good job. I am willing to spend $3000 (I wish I could afford more to spend). What can I expect to get for that price.

I am looking for a good source of parts, clock, loudspeaker in front dash, lower chrome door trim left and right.

I would like to keep the car original, yet would like to add a decent stereo/CD player. Any ideas were to hide it, so it cannot be seen from the outside (maybe glove compartment). Do you know of anyone that does good installation work?

Any feedback appreciated.

Volkmar
