The trigger in bottom of distributor fires the fuel injector solonoids - U S 3.0Si do not have this feature . Even the pistons in block are different on Si . L-jets had air flow meters .
I thnik early 3.0Si had the same D-Jetronic system as the CSi and later 3.0Si models have the L-Jetronic. With that in mind, the CSi distributor is different than the distributor on a Si with the L-Jet. The CSi has that trigger point mechanism in the bottom section of the distributor. This trigger point has a lot to do with how your car runs.
