Hello all,
I am a relatively new afficianado of the e9 although I have admired them from the time I first saw one about 10 years ago. I have just recently decided to leave my 2002 fixation and begin to focus on the cs/csi. Presently I am searching for a 3.0 csi to buy as a PROJECT. With a budget of 5k or less I realise it must be a PROJECT. I expect to find rust, lacquer cracking, bad mechanicals and did I mention rust? My questions are; are there good years for the cs/csi? Are there any real hidden catches with these cars, besides the rust? What are the most desirable options? And how do the replacement costs for the various mechanicals, glass and interior bits compare to what I am used to paying for 02 parts? Finally does anyone have or know of a good PROJECT csi for sale?
