I don't have my car nearby so I can't just look and tell you wire sequence, but it's very easy to figure out.
The firing order should be embossed on the valve cover. I would think all M30 engines of that vintage have the same firing order. Mine is 1-5-3-6-2-4. Next you need to align the crank and cam so that piston number 1 (front of car) is at TDC with both valves closed. In this position, the distribuor rotor will point to the no. 1 spark-plug wire location.
Starting with this wire, you can connect all the other wires in sequence in the direction of rotation. You can note the direction of rotation of the distributor when you align the crank to TDC.
I know this sounds complicated, but it works for any car and it's just as fast as trying to read someone else's verbal description of the wire locations.

Please don't kill me, but I did something kinda dumb.
Changed the spark plug wires without figuring out which
lead on cap went to which cylinder. Was in a hurry, etc.,
etc.
Anyway, it's a 1972 3.0 CS Alpina.
Any help is greatly appreicated!!!
