These need to be replaced , have anyone tried to do this according to procedure and tools in repair manual, with the carrier still in place?
did you manage?
i tried to replace the bushes in the wishbone acc to manual, but i couldnt get them all the way thru, when i released pressure, they came creeping out again!!!!! i ended up in a hydraulic press today. i am afraid the same thing will happen with the big bushes in the axle carrier, and then h-------l is loose.

The bushings are quite dificult but I managed to do them with no special tools or press.
A long bolt and fat large washers is all that is needed plus some oil, pass long bolt and a retaining washer through bushing and place over hole, lots of lubricant and place large washer on the other side with a good nut and slowly wind in up the thread with a wrench, eventualy the bushing will fit into the hole.
This is the only way I know and can be done in place on the car
good luck Ian
