In Reply to: Anyone know of a csi with a vin# lower than 0017? posted by o2fly on February 19, 2001 at 16:18:14:

I think I own the oldest csi in the country with #2260017. I checked with Mobile Traditions about this years ago and all they could tell me was that my car was imported from Southern Italy in 1985. It's Nachtblau metallic with tan leather, no sunroof. Does this car have any brothers or sisters with close vin #s still alive?

My '72 CSi VIN 2260983, alleged to have been originally sold in Italy, is Baikal with navy leather. I am mechanically restoring the car myself, and hope to have it in for a full disassembly body restoration in about two years.
