Oh God

I know what yall are thinking. Hopefully because you've been there before. I bought this 74 CS last summer. Now don't get me wrong, I love her; but, I'm wonderin' of late: Do I sell her and try and spend two more years tryin' to find a better one or do I keep her and fix her?

Here's the deal. I got this baby for what I think is a steal. All stock. A tad bit of rust in the rockers (easily fixed by someone who has more time than me), a few rust problems following the seal in the the trunk ( pinholes most), but otherwise rust free. Someone who had good intentions and some insight, dicked-up the engine compartment though with this black , super weatherprooofing fecal matter- rubbery stuff that is obviously going to be there forever. Otherwise I got a stock red interior which is in damn good shape, a stock radio, stock dash, headliner(needs an anti-sag treatment) and everything works. Well, ain't to sure about the AC compressor but everything else does. Full original toolkit. All BMW down to fan belt. Paint is good but recent with just two oversprays(underneath out of sight) everything masked to line. Car runs like a scalded dog. Automatic.

Paid 7500 in July 2000.

I looked for 3 years for a car like this. So why in the HELL do I want to turn her for something else? Looking at an '81 M series but I'm not yet convinced. Should I just invest in two or dump my CS for this one or something like it?

The only problem is, I love my coupe.
