I would never suggest installing belts from another model - since I'm not an engineer. 1974 style retracting belts from BMW are still available however. These fit all 72 and later coupes, are FULLY retractible, mount behind and under rear seat, and are a true 3 point belt - not the old antique two piece style.

ie: GEOMETRY MATTERS in an accident! Not just how they pull or retract in the parking lot!

Thay're $189.00 per side incl. all mounting parts and "receiver" piece and are CORRECT for the E9 chassis.
