Thats cool, where did you buy the pertronix kit at? also, where are you going to get the glass hood.. BTW, mine is a 72' csi.. I'm also having trouble finding an oil filter. Its got a purolator spin on adapter, and I'm too lazy to remove the filter to grab the part number (it is an orange BMW filter though). thanks

What's the recommended electronic ignition upgrade for e9's, pertronix, allison/crane? And, where can it be had at a reasonable sum. Just bought a 72 csi (needs tons of work!), I'll post some pics for those who like to look. I'm pretty sure the car lived in Italy for a while, the vin is 226327.


I went with a pertronix on my 72 CS,twin carbs and 4-speed. It had a points setup when i got it and i am really glad i got the pertronix because it never misses now and has been problem free in the ignition area. Besides keeping the car clean ,i am planning a shorter throw shifter and planning on installing a fiberglass hood which should save 25 pounds over the front wheels.
