mine did that in that exact place 6 years ago, so i welded it. it's been fine this whole time.

after a coat of paint, no one is the wiser. in fact, the paint doesn't even have to be an exact, exact match. it just has to be close since the bar is a separate piece.

No,not broken,just missing.Bought the car back in late 91 with the hood hinge in the trunk! was a good deal at the time and had,since a kid (of about 10 years old)been bitten with the bug for these coupes(didn't even know what make it was at that age)Do any other bimmer models use this bracket? thanks anyway, Doug. R.C.
