it's really not a big deal, but then you never know if someone will think it's funny to call the police and say "hey, I just saw this guy do this horrible thing on the road, I got his plate down... it's ___"

Then if I have photos I took of other people's cars, I always edit their plates out because I never know if they may have some sort of problem with it too.

There's my paranoid take on it anyway ; )
