Installing electric antenna in place of a manual (archive)

I have a 72 CS with a manual antenna mounted on the left front fender. I would like to know I anyone has swapped this antenna for an electric one. I would like to be able to install a used hirshmann or like, found in the newer 5, or 7 series. All help and suggestions are appreciated very much!
