I'd install it '74-style, in the front driver-side fender... that would make for the easiest wiring job to the reciever I would think.

By the way, does your car have air conditioning? If it doesn't, would you be able to send me a picture of how your console looks? I'm trying to figure out how mine is supposed to look... no AC but a stereo installed.

If you want to install amodern radio /CD player, the original console and coverplate will not fit, as they are made for the older standard, where the radio has two protruding shafts for fixing, and also for the knobs to be.the originals are hard to find, and very high priced, but you get lucky, as i was, got mine thru the coupe club in Germany.if you would like a picture of it, let me know, and i will send you one. i do not have AC
