The A/C fan is different/seperate from the heater/ventilation fan and will not do much toward lowering the engine coolant.


You may want to consider leaving the a/c fan in there. If your cs radiator temp runs as high as most - especially in stop and go traffic - wiring that fan to a switch to run when needed can drop your water temp as well as your blood pressure. Not as effective as installing a larger or three-row core in the radiator, but certainly less expensive.

I'm in the process of stripping the complete factory a/c from my 73 cs,anyone interested in a complete system, all or nothing?
