Carl from Just BMW's in San Diego said it is better to just buy a used 4speed for about $300. He said he had quite a few from 5 speed conversions. He said it would be a one day job to do the swap, not the conversion.

He also told me that it would be about $2000 to change to the 5 speed. His are around $900 used then you add all the extra parts. I just dont know what they are.
