Thankfully, the sniping has for the most part subsided. For me that was the hardest part of sifting through both the E9 and the E3 lists. I think the benefits of the CS Registry are three-fold: a) they have the largest single archive of E9 historical data and technical information in the Western Hemisphere. If you are so inclined, and you are nice to the proprietors, this can be made available to you as a member. b) the e-mail list posts can provide you with a network of folks who appear like-minded enough to suit you, and you can then chose to correspond with those individuals (just like the old, pre-Net days.) c) the ones you don't want to hear from can motivate you to learn how to use the filters on your e-mail program software!
