The CS/M6 conversion is a great cover story for the eurocar Oooh-Ahhh mags, but in reality is a very poor fit. The compromises necessary to squeeze it into the car are destructive to the basic feel and nature of the E9. If you want that power and expense, buy an M6 with a damaged engine and put the system you got for $50(???) into it. They--broken and cheap M6's--are abundant.

If you want to upgrade your CS, sell the motor and trans--$3.5-5K--to some M guy and invest those dollars in upgrading your car wisely. Things like a 5 speed and 3.5 motor, 3.0 disc brakes, and bilsteins come to mind. You'll enjoy the car more and your grief and expense will be decreased by a factor of 10.
