Installing the the "guts" of it is just like installing a new set of points. The only other items are the magnetic collar, and the black and red leads to the existing coil. Don't forget to use the little peice of clear plastic. Its and air gap spacer thats used when torquing down the the hold down screw. Read the instructions!

How easy is it to install pertronix. Do I need any tools such as the timing light?

Does the ballast resistor remain?
