Not my car, but it looks exactly like it : )

There are pictures of it here:

and here is the person's ad. Please contact bmw@nha.com about it though.

------
For Sale, 1974 BMW 3.0CS, original owner, low usage 87,000 miles, garaged
car. My sister is the original owner and it is now in my garage in Juno
Beach, Florida and has been for about 6 months. Before that it was stored
with the auto shop after her divorce (from Jim Palmer, the Baltimore Oriole
Hall of Fame pitcher), before that it was housed in her garage in what was
her apartment in Juno Beach (now it's his) and at other times in her garage
in her house in Baltimore. She is in Baltimore and I am handling the sale
for her. She has always had it professionally maintained. I don't use it
here and it's just taking up space in my garage. She asked me to sell it
for her. There is no rush or pressure to sell. I'm not here much of the
time so I would have to coordinate with any prospective buyer.

Car condition: I read about all the rust on 3.0CS's. This car has no
rust with exception of small bubbles appearing under paint behind the sun
roof and in a couple of other very small similar spots. Pictures taken
today show the car well including these bubbles. The upholstery is all
original leather with the front seats really worn with some tears in
leather. The back seat is fine but dryed out. Electric windows all
work, albiet very slowly. Air conditioning works fine. Car is not
waterproof in rain owing possibly to seals around windows. Other problems
that I am aware of are: 1. there is a small oil drip so I put a piece of
cardboard under engine on garage floor. I would guess it might drip one or
two drops per week, not much. You might not notice it if it was parked on
gravel. One of the plastic fittings that the windshield wiper squirts out
of on the passenger side has broken off the hood. There is a slight gas
smell that comes from the car in the garage. I think maybe the fuel line
needs to be checked. Other than that and a few small cosmetic things, the
car is in very good condition. It starts right up, idles a little rough at
first, then it's fine. When you start out, if you go fast, when the
automatic transmission shifts into second gear, it gives you a kind of kick
in the behind, but if you let off the gas at that point, it is smooth. The
rear view mirror is loose.

This is a classic car that really never got used much. My sister always
had another car in each of their two houses which they moved back and forth
plus her husband had his own as well. The pictures attached were taken
today. She's asking $12,000 for the car or best offer. I'm available
for questions.

Please contact Norman Hirsch at: bmw@nha.com if interested.
