The most fun car is the 2002 tii, with shock, swaybars and springs. Ran like a top, cornered on rails, good gas mileage (which the CS certainly won't give you); cheap to fix (I do all my own).
The 3.0CSA was a slug, though a beautiful one. With a 4-speed it's transformed, but not a car you'll want to drive everywhere; still not as tossable as a stock 2002.
The 6er was not a town car and felt heavy, the close ratios were a pain.
I now have the CS and a 533i with overdrive 5-speed that I like very much.

I currently own a well restored 75 2002 and am looking at gettting a 3.0 CS or a 635 CSi in addition. Having not owned or really driven either of these much, can anyone share their thoughts about the pros and cons of each (e.g. driving experience, cost of ownership, availability of parts and skilled mechanics). At this point I'm leaning towards the 3.0 CS and considering an automatic (I know, a stick is probably the only real enthusiast choice, but traffic here in Atlanta is the pits).
Thanks,
Jeff
