The 3.0CS is a beautiful car, but for every day use, I'd rather not use-up a classic or expose it to too much moisture.
As for handling and "feel" I think that the 6 Series should easily be the best, assuming equal quality and condition bushings/ball joints/struts are on each of the cars. While mine felt a bit heavier than my CS, it was certainly quite enjopyable to drive.
While the CS is a wonderful car, it does have a much less rigid chassis (no "B" pillar and slender "A" and "C" pillars) and a softer suspension and slower steering to compensate for this.
At the risk of injecting unrequested information, my favorite of my BMW litter is my '87 535is with uprated sway bars and poly bushings. It's like a big Cortina GT of the middle 60's. Very precise, tossable and a blast to drive slow or fast on back roads or on the Interstate. The body parts are a lot cheaper, too!

I currently own a well restored 75 2002 and am looking at gettting a 3.0 CS or a 635 CSi in addition. Having not owned or really driven either of these much, can anyone share their thoughts about the pros and cons of each (e.g. driving experience, cost of ownership, availability of parts and skilled mechanics). At this point I'm leaning towards the 3.0 CS and considering an automatic (I know, a stick is probably the only real enthusiast choice, but traffic here in Atlanta is the pits).
Thanks,
Jeff
