If anyone wants to get REALLY picky about differences, the factory muffler system for the 2800 has fewer pieces, is cheaper as a result, and sounds better. I used a 2800 system on my 3.0 and had no fitting problems.

I doubt the factory stuff is available anymore, but maybe the aftermarket copies the parts by model.
