Mark your calendars for three BMW E3 and E9 events this spring and summer.

Saturday, May 5: 9:00 to 10:00am we will meet at the new Martha Lake Park, about a mile east of I-5, the 164th street exit (#183) north of Lynnwood, Washington. Ken Olsen of Coupe and Rallymaster fame has drafted a drive over hill and dale which will culminate in the world famous Chuckanut Drive, with time for pictures and enjoying the scenery. We will continue on to 1:00 lunch at the Orchard Street Brewery/Restaurant in Bellingham, where I hope our Canadian members will join us, if not for the whole day. The brewery/restaurant is "family friendly", so bring the whole fam-damily! After lunch, you may blast home on I-5 or join us for a group drive down the scenic and twisty Highway 9.

Wednesday, June 20 (evening) 6:30 to 8:30: Summer solstice meet at the shrine of BMW partsdom, Bill Proud’s house in Kent, Washington. An opportunity to view the wonders of Bill’s garage and basement, trade in rare parts and enjoy the longest evening of the year. For the competitive, Bill promises to pull a dozen Zenith carbs. out of storage and we will vie to see who can rebuild one the quickest. I’ll send more detailed directions to anyone who needs them.
Please, no children or pets at this event.

Sunday, September 16: Coupes and Bavarias invade Portland, Oregon for the Around the Mountain Run. We will meet at historic Fort Vancouver, drive up the Columbia Gorge (Washington side) to Hood River for a light lunch at the Full Sail Brewery. After turning south there will be time for pictures and sightseeing at the Timberline Lodge, then return to Portland. We will have 5:00ish supper at the Reinlander German Restaurant with time for the out of towners to blast home after.

Be a part of this great group of people and their cars. Not sure if this is your cuppa tea? Click on this link for Thomas Mitchell’s pictures of last year’s event:

(that was our Councours D’ Stringback Driving Glove in the top pictures, just a little something for the competitive types in the group)
