e28 units work, I undersatand, but before you do that, have you opened up the door panels and unhooked to linkage to make sure the glass isn't dragging badly?

Also, before putting the panels back, try wiring the motors directly to a 12 v battery. Sometimes the "slow" motors are do to voltage drop in teh switches or wiring.

I removed my motors, cleaned and lubed them and the gearboxes and the windows flew (with a battery)-until I reconnected the wiring harness. I think a lot of "bad press" on the motors is actually under engineered factory wiring and window switches.

Possibly the later motors will work faster with the stock wiring, though.

Anyone out there familiar with a replacement electric motor

(4) for a 1973 3.0csi? I recall seeing somewhere an outfit selling faster units.
