I assume you mean you have a later model engine? If this is so, you're probably asking the wrong folks. But for what it's worth, the factory manual for the regular 3.0 sixes gives the inlet and exhaust valve clearances (cold) at .010 - .012 inches (ie, ten to twelve thou) or .25 - .30mm if you can get your head around metric.

Again for the 3.0 engine, the oil spray pipe that runs along the top of the head needs a) to be placed so it's facing the right way round. To quote from the Haynes reprint of the BMW workshop manual "When fitted correctly the distance from the front of the oil distribution pipe to the centre of the front hollow bolt hole should be 7.1in (180mm). Tighten the hollow bolts to the specified torque wrench setting. Overtightening the hollow bolts will crush the pipe and greatly reduce the oil feed". That was b) by the way - not tightening the bolts too hard. The torque settings given are 8 - 9 lbf ft or 11 - 13 Nm.

As I say, if yours is not a standard engine you'd better find an ID number (but I'd be surprised if it'd be much different).

cheers,
Graeme
