before all else, turn the hazard lights on and play with the connectors on the rear lights, they may work if you hold them at just the right angle. this is what happened with my car anyway : )

I didn't really think you would. Congrats.

Check all the turn signal lights and make sure none are the brass base type. All the parking/tail/marker lights should have stainless steel bases.

If they're all the correct type, try changing the flasher relay.
