This also works on the front windows as well, you just need to trim the inner metal panel of the door. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE REAR E28 MOTORS. The front ones are a different shape and don't fit as easily as do the rear E28 ones. I have done an all 4 window E28 motor conversion, and they all work great. Please don't ask about the wiring because the car now has an E28 wiring harness and they just plugged in, but I can help you with any questions about mounting the motors.Rob

I did this upgrade on my '74 recently (rear windows). The E28 motor bolted in with no modification at all. The only wiring work required was to snip of the connector on the E28 motor and crimp on the correct style connectors for your Coupe. There are only two wires going to the motor. It definately is atleast twice as fast as my old motors. Great mod.
