I'm having the rear bumper on my '70 2800cs chromed and the chroming shop agreed to do the plastic grilles too. I'm not sure how much it would be to do the grilles alone, as this shop just rounded up the bumper cost to the nearest hundred by 40 bucks. Suggestion: Don't try to do it with so-called chrome paint from a hardware store. Been there - don't do that...

and then that chrome paint stuff is junk and peels off (like it's starting to on my CS) so eventually I'll wind up with black grilles : ) I'm not sure why it should cost that much to paint them though?

Rumor has it that on the 2800CS, they are actually metal. I wonder if that's true...
