My car VIN 4335096 is a 1974 CSA and only a few hundred were made. Out of those few hundred there are probably what...say 20% on the road? Even if there were half of them on the road which I doubt, the fact remains that these are very rare cars indeed.

Why don't they bring more? I mean, I've seen old POS Ford Fairlanes bring 10 grand and they aren't near restored.

Coupled with rarity and being coach built, you'd think the E9's would command scads of dollars. I think it's because a lot of people don't even know what they are. I get looks all the time from people who seem mostly puzzled. They realize it's a BMW but they've never seen the model.

The real payoff comes from the good lookin honey in the 750 who pulled up next to me last weekend and told me she liked my car.
