Thanks for the info can you explain how to access both the spot where the wiper motor wires enter and where those rubber corner seals are.
I have the same problem. On the driver side, the water was getting in through the hole where the wires for the wiper motor go into the firewall (replace the grommet or use tape and cover the cracks). On the passenger side, it seems that the problem is caused by my car missing a seal in the motor bay. There are rubber corner seals under the hood in the very back, I ordered new ones. That should keep water out of the glovebox.

It was very wet on the weekend and I had to drive a couple of hundred miles at speed. The car stayed pretty dry but water came in both sides of the top of the firewall into the glove box on the passenger side and onto my foot on the driver's side. I presume it is coming in next to the wiper motors. I checked the drains in the channel [the ones that easy to get to anyway] and they were clear.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there something I should do? Needless to say I am concerned about an accumulation of water in the footwells.
