Most certainly this can be done. Did it myself.
You will need to mount the fuel pickup in your CS tank, also the fuel pump and new fuel line ( you can use the current fuel line for the return, but the supply has to be a larger diameter).

You will need the entire engine wiring harness, sensors, manifold, injectors, etc. Also you will need the relay box for the fuel injection.

There are only a few connections you will have to make to your current wiring. It has been a few years since I did this, so I do not remember exactly what they were, but after studying the schematics for both cars i do recall being surprised at just how simple it was!

Makes for easier starting and smoother performance too.



I have a 1981 528 that I want to strip the fuel injection and electronic ignition from and put on my 1974 3.0 CS.

Does anyone know if this can be done for sure?
