the 530i injection and put it on. But here is the real killer. If you really wanted to go crazy you could do motronics. It has been done.

I have a 1981 528 that I want to strip the fuel injection and electronic ignition from and put on my 1974 3.0 CS.

Does anyone know if this can be done for sure?

Thanks

Why would you want 530i injection?? Because it's NOT a lambda feedback system?? If so you'd want to use the 77-78 model... not the 75-76 as the emmisson crap factor for those years is high and it uses the early style injectors.

A properly tuned 528i injection will give the same power and also better mileage...

If you want a decent easy system to bolt to a 3.0cs for a 3.5 liter engine conversion use the euro 79-81' 635csi l-jet --no lambda but with the AFM properly calibrated it's efficent and pretty powerful....

My 81' M535i is quick, gets 24 mpg on the hwy and burns very clean.... clean enough I can run cat converters and can pass emmissions!
(the car was imported 3 years ago)
