I have had the pleasure of owning two '02's and still have a 2800cs. As was mentioned in another response, the CS is much more sturdy at speed than the 2002 but around town the 2002 is a sweet little blast. And, yup, the Cs will often make you cringe when you have to fix it. If you're at all handy with a set of wrenches then I would suggest that you do it yourself or learn how. I suppose you should be fixing your own cars anyway if you've got an interest in any classic car. Again, drive 'em both and see what you like. Whatever you choose you'll have fun and turn heads.
