Had a similar experience, the biggest improvement was made by placing rubber 'o' rings onto the oil dipstick seal.
There are some grooves into which the fit nicely.
The original rubber had shrunk substantially, it was not even close to providing a good seal.
2 'o' rings @ .39 centavos was an amazing difference.
-luck to you.
I have been trying to cure a misfire on my bat for a while now. I have changed the plugs, leads, pertronix. I have removed the leads one by one with the car running to try and identify the bad cylinder but no single cylinder seems to be blatently misfiring. When the engine revs it is fine as youd expect and it has good power.
Any ideas?
