I have the same wheels with 225/50s all around and short springs. I carefully bent the front fender lips up and in the rear, cut about 1/4" off the top third of the rear fender lips. Tire cross-sections vary considerably for a given size. Some are much more "square" in profile than others and these are more likely to cause fit problems. However, as the others have commented, you'll probably be fine with 205-55s on the front with stock height springs. Bill

I have the same set up on my 74 CSI with 205/55 in front and 225/50's on the rear. No problems to speak of with rubbing, but you may have problems if you are running shorter springs.
