Barry, if you're patient you can probably find a car very close to what you're looking for. Finding one that was just restored in that price range will be very difficult, but finding a "rust-free" car in very good condtion for $10k is not out of the question. You're usually better off by keeping chassis and cosmetics higher on the list than mechanicals, but because these motors are so durable, you'll probably be able to find an overall good car. Do your homework, be patient and start talking with the vintage BMW crowd as much as you can. Kinda like what you're doing now. 8-)
