The colour is Rubenrot Met ( Ruby Red Metallic ) -it's a factory colour. I don't know if it was used in the States, or maybe called something else. The other car was an M5 at a main dealer open day. I was asked to bring mine along and got to test drive the M5, an M3 and an 850Csi. All nice, but too modern for my liking!
