Right! The same time that the CS Coupes were made. While I too do not care much for the color today (or the loud orange color, for that matter) When these cars were new, those colors were popular. This is why the other automotive "rabble" as you call it wore similar colors.

Pacers were in that crowd too.
...Funny that they are now semi "collectible" !

But I think I will stick with colors I like.
