Windshield Prices (archive)

I was having my windshield replaced after refinish (removed glass to paint) and the glass guy is trying to sell me a new windscreen saying the car is just too sweet to use the used glass.

Naturally, I have new gaskets for both the front and rear glass already.

What is the going price/source for a new one?

His price seemed a tad high to me.
