I have 16x7 Alpinas ET11 on the front with 225/50s and they stick out beyond the fender lip slightly. There is about 3/8" clearance between the tire and the strut on the inside. I have 16x8 BBS RS ET11 on my 635 (they fit fine there) and the additional offset appears to be towards the outside.
