Assembled Horde:

What is it (a coupe) worth?

According to Mobile Tradition, when they finish a CSi to OEM it is
worth approximately at least 250,000 DM so you can do the math.

In the USA, privately, between 1999 and now, (I am non-disclosed to
tell you whom) CSi coupes in OEM condition have sold from unrestored
excellent condition project cars to totally restored cars from: 42.5k
to 82.5k. Yes. Those are the numbers.

A REAL CSL - and one would think they are all in California, the UK,
or Italy with a few ending up in Canada to listen to the list, but
they are all over the place - can bring what ever price the buyer and
seller decide upon. It can be whatever.

Sales of E9s of the CS/CSA flavors (YEs, they put CSa on the rear
decklid for crying out lous) with various modifications/upgrades
range from 10.5k for cars that need new paint (and the extensive body
work that will go with it), new upholstery, new carpet, etc. to about
38k for a completely restored you don't need to touch it for the next
10 years car. This is for cars with 3.5 engines, 5S, suspension mods,
etc.

Yes, I know that is less than many of you put in them - did you
honestly buy this car to make money on it? Ever see the Gumby poster
of Gumby laughing and saying "You want it WHEN?"

2800 CS coupes restored, relatively near to OEM are bringing about
12k to 18k for the spectrum of conditions.

Project cars in various stages bring from 0$ to 14k. You go figure.

It's a buyers and sellers world. A coupe sells when someone falls in
love with it. None of these numbers are absolute. None of them are
the final figures. They only reflect those cars that I have heard
about personally from reliable sources. The names of the people
buying them would astound you. Beverly Hills & Rodeo Drive seems to
have found the CSi.
