Both will work,the newer m/c are for cars after '73,and i restored my '72 CSi in 2000 and used the newer one, i purchased it at bavarian autosport and all i did was buy a longer metal hydraulics line at the auto parts store for $5.00 and rebend it to shape and the car runs like a charm.........
