I had a similar problem in my 2800cs.
There were several suspect ground connections.
The worst was over there by the voltage regulator.
I even had to clean/repair the actual hole into which the ground was screwed.
Doing this investigation/cleanup of 3 hours was all it took.

I own a 1972 3.0CSi, lately when accelerating the car sometimes hessitates, and during idle the rmps drops low and the car starts to surge and then cuts off,when you restart the car it idles up & down, the dist cap and rotor are new ,the spark plugs are new, i installed the petronix ignitor last year,it's been working ,i've raised the idle and moved the dist,and no changed can anyone advise me of what could be the problem, D-jet computer ???
