A number of years ago I purchased a rebuilt 2 liter 4 cyl engine from Kormann for use in my tricked out 2002. Delivery was a bit delayed but no major issue. However once they had my money and I got my engine that was the end of their "customer service". Repeated calls yeilded no response for help on the set-up and tuning of the engine. Usual response was "Stop on by the shop and we'll take a look at it". (Not so easy when you're 900 miles away. Even got the same response from Ray himself at a BMW CCA Oktoberfest even though I had the car right outside the door. They seem to be generally knowledgeable and have been quite a player in the BMW community for quite a while. But as to my experience, all they were interested in was my money. I've done little business with them since.
