You get about a mile's distance after the fuel pump dies and usually sputters like you've lost ignition for about three minutes--speaking from experience.:) I'd recommend going to a rotary type pump--the 42S Perolator I used to r/r the dead "original" clacked loudly (the borg-warner rotary is about $40). Still, you know when it's working and when it's not.in the USA, they would later sue you after getting caught for endangering their lives by making the car they stole stall in traffic on purpose!
